Check out the extended forecast…especially Wednesday and Thursday's lows…BBBRRRRR!!!

It's mid- February and you know what that means...it's still winter!

Like it or not. Haha.

Actually, we have had a pretty mild winter as fall as snowfall goes. Cold temperatures yes, but not more than a little dusting here and there.

And then February 2nd rolled around and the Proverbial Groundhog saw his shadow…and you know-BAM-six more weeks of winter!

And boy, Jack Frost is definitely delivering this week with the frigid air and PLENTY of snow.

Lots of beautiful white, fluffy snow!

Since today was President's Day, it was a school holiday, so there has been lots of time to play outside and enjoy. And we just got the Robo-Call for tomorrow...our first official snow day of the school year…the boys are THRILLED!

So anyway, I don't know who had more fun playing outside today...the four of us or Chili!

That Chili-dog is a West Virginian through and through. She LOVED tearing around the yard, running back and fourth through the snow drifts. And then she would just plop down in the snow and chew on one of her many stolen logs from the woodpile, not being bothered a bit by the cold.

And now I shall wax poetic for a moment and tell you how beautimous Chili looked prancing about with snow flakes adorning her golden fur and sporting a frosty "snow goatee".

I may or may not have gotten a little carried away with snowy photos of her ;-)

Hope that all of you are staying warm and cozy this week!
